I don’t usually do that, but this video is incredibly important and means a lot to me, so I would ask you to share it. And also to take three minutes to watch it. The video is in English + subtitle.

It’s about parents who share their children on the Internet.

I can't explain why, but I feel like Jake's been behaving weird since Episode 7 :(

I restarted the game and in the opening sequence there is a brief second where it's clearly visible that someone is getting kicked off a chair with their hands tied behind their back. The room seemed pretty empty and dark and there were two other dudes (as far as I've seen) there. Do you think it's possible Jake behaves weirdly and suddenly expresses his feelings more openly because he may know he's about to get caught by his pursuers? D:

Sadly, I have to agree with you. :(

I also restarted and talked to a friend about how we think Jake has changed. I mean, it’s nice that he’s gotten more open, but I’m still worried.

In episode 7, after he came back, after his escape, he said that he had made sure that his persecutors would not bother us any more.

After we talked about Alan, at the end of episode 8, Jake said, “I still have an ace up my sleeve”

Unfortunately, I kind of feel like he wants to sacrifice himself if we get into trouble, because it’s actually a good method. He is wanted by the government and if he wants to negotiate a deal in which he wants to be arrested, if we can stay free, then this is also a good move for the government. We’re just a little problem, it’s not that bad what we did, compared to a wanted hacker.

No one knows what we have to do with all these things and Jake would never let us get into trouble just because we were involuntarily pushed into this whole situation.

In general, he (I think) has changed a bit throughout.

I don’t know if it’s my imagination that he talks less about Hannah, but he does. He used to talk much more about Hannah than he does now.

Also that he kept information from us, no matter how big or small.

I really love you, Jake, but the way you acted in episode 8…

I mean, first of all, the group chat conversation about Hannah’s surveillance video. We sent it to him back then, but he didn’t talk about it. A short time later we pointed out to him that we still have to discuss this video, but again nothing came.

He took care of it, but he didn’t tell us. Yeah, maybe this information isn’t really important, but we have to send him every little detail, every little one. And whether it’s important or not, it’s important for us to know.

And then his cell phone number. I think that’s a fact, which I find really serious. He cut out his call with Hannah so we don’t focus on it, I’m sorry, but this is really not cool. Really. Not. cool.

Whether he just wanted us not to focus on it, we should at least have known it. I still have previously assumed that, that he saw Hannah’s kidnapping about his cell phone. And since we didn’t know that the last number was not his, as I had assumed, we couldn’t know whether his number was on the list or not.

Since I thought it was his number, I didn’t wonder, of course, because we knew they were talking to each other, it was clear that he was also on the list.

But that he cut out his number is not okay, he could at least tell us that he did it.

And the fact that he never told us in private before, how it went on the phone with Hannah, I find it weird. I mean, this is an important piece of information. Perhaps incidental but nevertheless important. That he then talked about it without problem in the group chat, I do not know…

At this point, thank you Dan, that was really time!

I really think he’s hiding something from us, I don’t know what, but I can imagine.

Edit: I forgot something. I think it’s a pity that he’s hiding things now.. because he wants us to trust him but the way he’s done it definitely makes it harder.

That was more than I had planned xD

I hate to talk so negatively about Jake, but just because I like him, I’m not blind. ’-’

No I agree, I was extremely disappointed in Jake for not telling us about him calling Hannah and being the last one to see her. He always talks about trust yet he does something like that and brushes off our concerns a bit for disapproving of his choice.

I also think Jake might make a very sacrificial choice or hasty decision that connects to us, especially after what LadyLotus said to us in our fortune,

Obviously a bit of the fortune is about Jake, and it makes me nervous that she tells us to not agree to something offered after Jake declares he has a plan if things go wrong. We might have to stop him from doing something foolish in the future. I don’t know if the “crown of gold” has anything to do with this or how it describes Jake, but it might be prevalent later.

It’s also possible the choice will come from the MWAF too but who knows 😅

All and all I think it would be good to discuss with Jake why hiding Hannah’s number was wrong and why he can’t do that. He still needs to tell us what exactly he helped Hannah with and why he is being pursued at all.

Maybe the thing offered to us is Alan offering us a cup of coffee if we visit him at the police station?😅😂
